Game 3 of The World Series on Fox (Atlanta 2, Houston 0) came in at an estimated 9.37 million viewers and a 1.9 rating/15 share in adults 18-49 in primetime. Of course, results for any live event (particularly sports) are only estimated.
With CBS in all repeats, ABC got a minor boost with its Friday line-up of “Shank Tank” (Viewers: #2, 3.64 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 4 at 8 p.m. ET) and veteran newsmagazine “20/20” (Viewers: #3, 3.07 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 4 from 9-11 p.m.). Note to the producers of “Shark Tank”: bring back Nirav Tolia as a guest shark. He is exceptional.
Elsewhere, not even beloved Scooby-Doo could ignite interest in The CW, with animated one-hour special, “Scooby-Doo, Where Are you Now?” at 497,000 viewers and a 0.1/ 1 in adults 18-49. That led into drama “Nancy Drew”, which scored a minimal 361,000 and a 0.1/ 1 in the demo at 9 p.m. Needless to say, the network remained buried in last place. And NBC featured recent non-scripted entry “Home Sweet Home” (Viewers: #4, 1.29 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.2/ 1 at 8 p.m.) into “Dateline” (Viewers: #4, 2.45 million; A18-49: #3, 0.3/ 2 from 9-11 p.m.).
