Sophie Scott wasn’t going to let a little cold — or 40 miles-per-hour wind gusts — get in the way of watching boyfriend Mac Jones’ “Monday Night Football” debut.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Scott chronicled her chilly evening at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, where New England topped its AFC East rival, 14-10.
“I’m frozen but it was worth it,” Scott wrote in one Instagram Story.
Jones threw just three passes on Monday, completing two of those attempts for 19 yards. The Patriots won their seventh straight game and are currently atop the AFC.
“We knew it was going to be windy. You can’t control it. There is no on and off switch,” Jones said postgame. “You just have to go out there and do your job, and for us to run the ball like we did was incredible.”
The Patriots now enter their bye week at 9-4 and will next face the Colts (7-6) on Saturday, Dec. 18. The 7-5 Bills will get their chance at revenge on Sunday, Dec. 26, when they visit New England.
Jones, the No. 15 overall pick in this year’s draft, has continued to impress throughout his rookie season. The 23-year-old quarterback was recently named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month for November.
Last month, Jones completed 76.8 percent of his passes for seven passing touchdowns and a 117.2 percent passer rating.
With four regular-season games left for the Patriots, two of which are in Foxborough, expect Scott to be bundled up as she catches Jones in action.
The couple, both University of Alabama alums, has been dating since 2019.
