AEW Revolution 2022 Pay-Per-View Fight Card Preview

The AEW World Championship is on the line as Adam Cole challenges Page in the evening’s main event, continuing what has been a busy year for the challenger. Both wrestlers are perfect in 2022, with Cole maintaining a 6-0 record and looking to make it seven. Building up to the main event, AEW Revolution 2022 will start with a six-man tornado match as Hardy and AHFO take on the trio of Darby Allin, Sting, and Sammy Guevara to open the pay-per-view. Then, former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will face Danielson, a new addition to the AEW last fall.

For the first championship event of the night, the AEW TBS belt is under threat from Tay Conti as she challenges Cargill. Cargill is the inaugural champion of the TBS title, earning it in early January in a match with Rudy Soho to claim the new championship. She enters Sunday a perfect 28-0, including six victories already this year. Conti is a veteran of the arena at 54-9. She’s earned her title shot with her four match-wins in as many contests this year.

Jericho will face Eddie Kingston in a standard contest on the bill, precluding the AEW World Tag Team Championship. A three-way tag team match, reDRagono and The Young Bucks will challenge the Jurassic Express pairing of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus who took the title back in January from The Lucha Brothers. For The Young Bucks, the match is an attempt to claim what was once theirs. From November 2020 until last September, Matt and Nick Jackson held the belt for 302 days.

Next up is the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match that will see six contenders battle for a title shot. The winner will become the top challenger to current AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. That will be followed by the AEW Womens’ Championship contest. There, Thunder Rosa will attempt to be the fifth-ever AEW Women’s Champion. It was nearly a year ago that Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D ended the long tenure of Hikaru Shida, and she is looking to be the second to reign for a year. Thunder Rosa has the momentum at 6-0 entering Sunday compared to Baker who is 3-1.
