Earlier in the evening was NBC drama “Manifest” (Viewers: #3, 2.66 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 3 at 8 p.m.), which is still on the fence for next season. And ABC featured an original telecast of “Rebel”, starring Katey Sagal, at 10 p.m., which earned its cancellation stripes with 2.79 million viewers (#2) and a 0.4/ 2 (#2) in the demo.

Elsewhere, CBS featured an original episode of sitcom “United States of Al” (Viewers: #2, 3.68 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.4/ 3 at 8:30 p.m.) surrounded by all repeats. Later in the night was freshman drama “Clarice” (Viewers: #3, 1.83 million; A18-49: #3, 0.2/ 1 at 10 p.m.), which the network is better off canceling than shipping off to streamer Paramount+.

Fox game show “Beat Shazam”, meanwhile, opened its new season with 1.69 million viewers (#4) and a 0.4/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#2t). The remainder of the evening was repeats.
