Two arrested after allegedly running red light, killing a man in NYC

Two men were arrested in Brooklyn Sunday after running a red light, crashing into another car and killing the driver, cops said.

The collision happened around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of 60th Street and Third Avenue in Sunset Park.

One vehicle was traveling on 60th Street with a green light when another driver on Third Avenue ran a red light, striking the first vehicle, cops said. The driver who was hit was taken to Lutheran Hospital and died, according to police.

The two men in the vehicle that ran the light tried to flee but were arrested after a short chase, cops said. They were taken to Maimonides Hospital with minor injuries. Charges were pending, cops said.
