Fast Affiliate Ratings
Total Viewers:
NBC: 6.53 million, CBS: 4.21, Fox: 2.67, ABC: 2.52, CW: 825,000
Adults 18-49:
CBS: 0.9 rating/7 share, NBC: 0.7/ 6, Fox: 0.7/ 5, ABC: 0.4/ 3, CW: 0.1/ 1
It was Wednesday of split leadership between CBS and NBC. “Survivor” on CBS opened the night with 5.70 million viewers (#2) and a dominant 0.9 rating/7 share in adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. ET. That tied Fox’s competing “The Masked Singer” in the demographic (which finished third in the time period in adults 18-49, with 4.28 million). The “Masked Singer”, which is certainly not the force it once was, led into new singing competition “Alter Ego”, which dropped to 2.48 million viewers (#4) and a 0.5/ 3 in the demo (#3) at 9 p.m.
Back at CBS, the two-hour season finale of “Big Brother” maintained the 0.9/ 7 adults 18-49 “Survivor” lead-in, with a second-place 3.47 million viewers (#2) from 9-11 p.m. The franchise will be back in February 2022 with the next edition of “Celebrity Big Brother.”
Compatibility, of course, was the observation of note at NBC care of its “Chicago” trio as follows:
Wednesday/NBC
8:00 p.m. “Chicago Med”
Viewers: 6.46 million (#1), A18-49: 0.7/ 3 (#3)
9:00 p.m. “Chicago Fire”
Viewers: 7.08 million (#1), A18-49: 0.8/ 6 (#1)
8:00 p.m. “Chicago PD”
Viewers: 6.06 million (#1), A18-49: 0.7/ 6 (#1)
And lackluster, again, was the observation of note for ABC’s entire Wednesday night line-up (including week two of the reboot of “The Wonder Years”) as follows:
Wednesday/ABC
8:00 p.m. “The Goldbergs”
Viewers: 3.07 million (#4), A18-49: 0.5/ 4 (#4)
8:30 p.m. “The Wonder Years”
Viewers: 2.61 million (#4), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#4)
9:00 p.m. “The Conners”
Viewers: 3.35 million (#3), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)
9:30 p.m. “Home Economics”
Viewers: 2.13 million (#4), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#4)
10:00 p.m. “A Million Little Things”
Viewers: 1.99 million (#3), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)
The CW capped off this second Wednesday of the new TV season with dramas “Riverdale” (Viewers: 748,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “In The Dark” (Viewers: 903,000; A18-49: 0.2/ 1 at 9 p.m.), which remained the No. 5 options and are only approximate because other programming might have impacted these results. Remember, the fast affiliate rating results are time period based.
