Wednesday 5/26/21 Preliminary Ratings

Total Viewers:

NBC: 6.71 million, Fox: 3.78, CBS: 3.18, ABC: 2.67, CW: 622,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 1.0 rating/6 share, NBC: 0.8/ 6, ABC and CBS: 0.4/ 3 each, CW: 0.1/ 1

In season premiere news, ABC game shows “Press Your Luck” (Viewers: #3, 2.86 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and “The $100,000 Pyramid” (Viewers: #3, 3.05 million; A18-49: #4, 0.4/ 3 at 9 p.m.) barely registered. And, of course, that was not beneficial to drama “A Million Little Things” at 10 p.m. (Viewers: #3, 2.09 million; A18-49: #3, 0.3/ 3), which is poised for more failure in this time period next season.

In series premiere news, cooking competition “Crime Scene Kitchen”, hosted by Joel McHale, got a boost out of “The Masked Singer” in adults 18-49 with a 0.7/ 4 in the demo (#2 at 9 p.m.), and 2.45 million viewers (#4). But the retention out of the season finale of “The Masked Singer” (Viewers: #2, 5.12 million; A18-49: #1 for the night, 1.3/ 9 at 8 p.m.) was lacking.

In more season finale news, the successful “Chicago” franchise makes NBC the network to beat again in total viewers next season. Take a look:

NBC/Wednesday
“Chicago Med” – 8 p.m.
Viewers: 6.96 million (#1), A18-49: 0.8/ 6 (#2)

“Chicago Fire” – 9 p.m.
Viewers: 7.03 million (#1), A18-49: 0.8/ 6 (#2)

“Chicago PD” – 10 p.m.
Viewers: 6.15 million (#1), A18-49: 0.8/ 6 (#2)

The season-ending episodes of CBS’ competing crime solvers “SEAL Team” and “S.W.A.T.” paled in comparison as follows:

“SEAL Team” – 9 p.m.
Viewers: 3.65 million (#2), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)

“S.W.A.T” – 10 p.m.
Viewers: 3.10 million (#2), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#2)

And they led our of a typically sluggish 2.78 million viewers (#4) and a 0.4/ 2 (#3t) in the demo for “KIds Say the Darndest Things” at 8 p.m., which never should have had a second season.

The CW, meanwhile, featured “Kung Fu” (Viewers: #5, 844,000; A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 1) and “Nancy Drew” (Viewers: #5, 400, A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 0) from 8-10 p.m. Not much to say, no doubt.
